CLASSIC BABY BOOKS

Chicklit, oh yes, that’s something we know all too well, but BabyLit, that term was a new one. So we entered a new world and found this amazing website called BabyLit.com

Here’s a bit about the story behind BabyLit.com, about why babies need classic literature.

At BabyLit, they believe in the power of reading. The reason why ? Books take us places. Good places. And when we read with a child, we go places together. It’s more than just reading. It’s learning. It’s experiencing. It’s growing.

With the timeless popularity of classic writers like Lewis Carroll, Charlotte Bronte, Jane Austen, and William Shakespeare, BabyLit® is a fashionable way to introduce your toddler to the world of classic literature.

At BabyMoon Travel, we are passionate about books too! We picked our favorites to read for your baby.

1. Pride & Prejudice ($9,99 at BabyLit.com)

Introduce your little bibliophile to the romantic world of Jane Austen in Pride & Prejudice: A BabyLit® Counting Primer. Stroll through 1 English village to meet 2 rich gentlemen and discover what happens when the 5 Bennet sisters encounter 4 marriage proposals! Alison Oliver’s charming illustrations accompany Jennifer Adams’ clever, simple text to make this take on a beloved classic perfect for little ones.

2.The Wonderful Wizard of Oz ($9,99 at BabyLit.com)Classic Baby Books - BabyLit.com

There’s more to the story than just lions, tigers, and bears – there are also so many colors to explore! From the wicked witch and her evil black dress, to the good witch Glinda and her bright pink socks, you’ll find all of the familiar characters of Oz decked out in brilliant technicolor!

3. A Christmas Carol ($9,99 at BabyLit.com)

Take a walk with the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Yet to Come in Little Master Dickens’ A Christmas Carol: A BabyLit® Colors Primer. See old Jacob Marley shaking silver chains, gold stars shining around the Ghost of Christmas Past, and a red scarf keeping Tiny Tim warm. This bright retelling of a Christmas classic will scare any “bah, humbug” feelings away.
